Happy Xmas and a Charter New Year

On behalf of all of us on Committee, here’s wishing you all a very happy and relaxed Christmas.

Looking forward to 2012, we have had formal confirmation that the ILEX Charter will be officially sealed on Monday 30 January. From that date onwards then, all Fellows of ILEX will properly be Chartered Legal Executives.

Truly something to look forward to and in which to take pride; and it enables us, for one time only to wish you also a very Charter New Year!

B&D Law Society Lunch – 8 February 2012

Always a high profile event, the BDLS Annual Lunch has been scheduled for 8 February next year at the Gallery, Premier Inn (i.e the old Hilton, Stakis etc.) on Westover Road. They have also snared the highly versatile Michael Dobbs as their guest speaker.

A man of many achievements, he is probably best known for his wonderful House of Cards featuring the inimitable Francis Urquart. With a colourful history of his own, Baron Dobbs of Wylye is sure to be highly entertaining.

Full details are attached and, in the immortal words, book early to avoid disappointment!

I trust everyone has full recovered from our 80th Anniversary bash. If you’ve conveniently forgotten what you got up to the truth will now be revealed to the world as the photos are out. To review them please click here.

The photos are small web versions and unsuitable for printing. If you’d like the full version then we can email you one or two but if you’d like more than that then please send us a CD or Memory Stick.

Having refreshed your memory, please also let su know what you thought of the Dinner this year. Your feedback is valuable and shared with everyone involved in order to improve things so please complete the anonymous survey here. Unfortunately, to be able to share results in real time means upgrading our account at a cost of £200 so we will collate the results manually in due course and publish them here.
